Here is a portrait of the lovely Keira Knightley. This was done all in Adobe Illustrator CS2 using mostly the Gradient Mesh tool.

Her face, not including the hair, is all one mesh, but everything else is broken into parts. It's the first time I've ever done a whole face with one mesh, learned a few things along the way!

Can't say i would have thought of doing a full face with one mesh. It came out amazing. I may try that some time.

Think it's time for me to dust off the ole Illustrator since it's been a few years. :)

One mesh for the face was daunting at first but with some planning it turned out well.
